LIVING WELL WITH DIABETES
As someone with diabetes, you can learn how to choose more healthful foods for better health. A healthy eating plan will help you control your diabetes maintain a healthy weight and feel better. First you should talk with your doctor, dietitian or other health care provider. They can help you put together a healthy eating plan you can live with.
You can control your diabetes one day at a time by :
1. Eating a variety of healthy foods.
2. Checking your blood sugar.
3. Taking a medication at the right time (if your doctor prescribes it).
4. Being physically active each day.
5. Losing weight (if you need to).
6. Following your doctor advice.
